Dal khichdi risotto

Dal khichdi risotto

1 cup boiled for dal

½ cup Arborio rice par-cooked

¼ cup ghee

½ tsp mustard seeds

4-5 curry leaves

Pinch Hing

2 chopped garlic

1tsp chopped tomatoes

2chopped chili

½ tsp turmeric powder1tsp cumin powder

½ tbsp fresh cream

As required salt

1 masala papad

½ tbsp parmesan cheese

Method

Heat ghee in pan crackles mustard seeds and curries leaves. Add chopped garlic and cook till brown then add the powdered spices and cook further. Add tomatoes and cook till they soften once the masala is done add the cooked dal. Then add the half-cooked Arborio rice and some stock water and let it cook for about 7 to 10 minutes then add the parmesan cheese and some cream finish off by adding in some freshly chopped coriander garnish with masala papad
