I think this adult egg cream is a fun final course at a casual dinner party. It’s both a dessert and a mild cocktail. If your crowd wants a stronger drink, you can Lebowski it up with a shot of vodka.
1/4 cup Kahlúa or other coffee liqueur
1 tablespoon Chocolate Syrup (page 109)
1 tablespoon cream
3/4 cup seltzer
In a tall glass, combine the Kahlúa Egg Cream, chocolate syrup, and cream, and stir to thoroughly combine. Top with the seltzer. Gently stir again if needed.
